OVERVIEW
BrokerBay depends on the data from the board and/or MLS Agent roster to confirm an Agent's identity. If an Agent is not verified by the board and/or MLS, their BrokerBay account will be marked with the Unverified tag.
Users who are unverified will have restricted access to the BrokerBay platform.

Reasons for the Unverified tag
An Agent's account can hold the Unverified tag for a number of reasons:
- They recently transferred brokerages, and their new membership has not been processed at the board and/or MLS level yet.
- Their member number is incorrect on their BrokerBay profile. Please note that member numbers are case-sensitive.
- The board on their BrokerBay profile does not match the board on their MLS profile.
- The brokerage office they belong to has not been added to BrokerBay yet, or is being managed by another brokerage platform.
- Their Agent license is currently parked.
BrokerBay access as an unverified user
Unverified Agents can log into the BrokerBay web version and mobile application, but will have restricted access and visibility.
While an Agent is unverified:
- They cannot book a showing or register an offer.
- These actions can be done by an Administrator or Listing Agent on their behalf. When doing so, they must enter the unverified Agent as an Unverified Custom Contact.
- They will not appear for other Agents or Administrators in the Search Agent roster when booking a showing.
- They will not receive confirmation messages for showings. Showing confirmations will instead be delivered to their office.
How is an unverified user be identified?
You can identify an unverified user in two ways:
Through the Agent's profile
- Navigate to the Agent's Account Settings.
- If you are the Agent, select your initials or photo in the header > Account Settings.
- If you are an Administrator, navigate to Admin > Manage Users > Select the Agent's profile.
- A yellow Unverified tag will appear at the top of the profile:
By trying to book a showing
When the Agent attempts to book a showing, they will be met with a notice indicating their account has not been verified.
How do I verify my account?
Please see the Reasons for the Unverified tag section above for the common reasons your account may be unverified.
Should the information on your profile be consistent across both BrokerBay and the board and/or MLS, please reach out to support@brokerbay.com directly so our team can assist in identifying the issue.
I'm a licensed adminβcan I still book showings for other agents if my account is unverified?
If you are an unverified licensed Administrator, you are able to perform administrative tasks such as booking showings for Agents.
You will not be able to book showings or register offers for yourself, and your profile will not appear in the agent roster on the booking screen.
