Why is MFA required?
MFA helps keep your account safe by requiring more than just a password to log in. Even if someone gets access to your BrokerBay information, they won’t be able to access your account without also verifying your identity through a trusted system—your MLS or Honeywell. Think of it like locking your front door, but also needing a keycard to get into the building.
How do I know which sign-in method I should use?
Most users with MLS member numbers will authenticate through their MLS. Users without MLS credentials will authenticate using Honeywell. Some MLS organizations may choose to use Honeywell authentication for all users.
Attempting to sign in to https://edge.brokerbay.com will automatically redirect you to the relevant MFA system.
I use a Supra experience, do I still need to use MFA?
Yes. You’ll need to complete the authentication process whether you’re using the standard BrokerBay platform or a Supra-powered experience.
What if I don’t receive an MFA setup email?
First check your spam or junk folder. If it’s not there, try logging in at https://edge.brokerbay.com. When your MLS has enabled MFA, you’ll be automatically redirected to the appropriate setup process.
Can I use the same Honeywell login for multiple BrokerBay accounts?
No. Each BrokerBay account must be linked to its own Honeywell login. If you manage multiple offices or regions with different BrokerBay credentials, you’ll need to complete the MFA process separately for each one.
What if I switch MLSs?
If your new MLS uses a different authentication method, you’ll need to complete the MFA setup process again under the new system. The change will occur automatically once your account transfer or creation has processed at the MLS level.
What if I lose access to my MFA email?
If you authenticate with your MLS, simply change your email on the MLS. Once the change has been processed, your BrokerBay account email will automatically update to match.
You cannot change your Honeywell MFA email. If you lose access to your Honeywell MFA email, contact your admin to request a new BrokerBay account with a different email.
Why can't I change my email within BrokerBay anymore?
After MFA has been activated on your account, you won’t be able to change your email from within BrokerBay.
