Manage your authentication methods
Honeywell supports flexible sign-in options. By default, your one-time verification codes will be sent through email verification. However, you can add other methods, such as SMS or authenticator apps, and choose your preferred method.

Types of authentication methods
- Email: A verification code is sent to your email inbox.
- Text message (SMS): A verification code is sent to your mobile phone via text message.
- Voice call: You receive an automated phone call that reads the verification code out loud.
- Authenticator app: A free app (like Google Authenticator or Microsoft Authenticator) on your phone generates a code you can use to sign in.
- Passkey: A password-free way to sign in using facial recognition, fingerprint, or device PIN. Options will vary based on your platform.
Access your authentication settings
- Navigate to edge.brokerbay.com.
- Enter your BrokerBay email.
- You will be redirected to the Honeywell sign-in page. Enter your Honeywell password.
- When prompted for an authentication code, do not close the Honeywell page. In another tab or browser, check your email for a verification message.
- If you have multiple authentication methods set up, ensure email is selected as the current verification method.
- Return to the Honeywell page. Complete the authentication by entering the verification code. You must do this before you can access your authentication settings.
- Return to the verification message in your email. Select the link within to manage your authentication methods.
Tip: This email link does not expire. You can bookmark the message for future use.
Add a new authentication method
- Follow the steps under Access your authentication settings.
- Under Your Authentication Methods, select Add Method.
- Choose the type of method you'd like to add.
- Follow the on-screen prompts and enter the verification code from your selected method.
After successful verification, your new method will appear under Your Authentication Methods.
Use a different authentication method to sign in
- Navigate to https://edge.brokerbay.com and begin the sign-in process.
- When prompted for an authentication code, select Try Another Way.
- Choose your preferred method from the list.
Set a default authentication method
You can change which method is used by default during sign-in.
⚠️ Do not change your default method to a different email than your original one. You can switch your default method to SMS, voice call, authenticator app, or passkey.
- Follow the steps under Access your authentication settings.
- Under Your Authentication Methods, select the three-dot menu beside the method you want to make default.
- Choose Set as Default.
The next time you sign in, this method will be selected automatically. You can still choose a different method at sign-in by selecting Try Another Way.
Rename your authentication methods
Renaming a method helps you easily identify it. This is especially useful if you have multiple emails or phone numbers saved.
- Follow the steps under Access your authentication settings.
- Select the three-dot menu beside the method you want to rename.
- Choose Edit Name.
- Enter a new name, then select the checkmark to save.
Frequently asked questions (FAQs)
Can I have more than one authentication method?
Yes. You can add multiple methods and switch between them during sign-in.
What if I want to switch my default method back to email?
Follow the Set a default authentication method steps and select the relevant email as your default.
Why am I being asked to sign in again after selecting the email link?
If the original sign-in process wasn't completed, or you've been logged out, the system will prompt another sign-in for security. This ensures your authentication data is protected.
Can I delete an old method I no longer use?
Yes. Select the three-dot menu beside the method and choose Remove.
