OVERVIEW
New listings will occasionally load into your brokerage platform without a Listing Agent assigned. Unassigned listings will be flagged in your Admin Queue for further management.
This article will help you address the reasons a Listing Agent wasn't assigned, and guide you through manually assigning an Agent to an unassigned listing.

Reasons for unassigned listings
There are multiple reasons a listing may load into BrokerBay unassigned:
- The MLS listing's assigned Agent does not have an account within your BrokerBay brokerage platform.
- The Agent has a BrokerBay account, but their board or Member Number is incorrect.
- The Listing Agent was not saved in the MLS before being pulled into BrokerBay.
Troubleshooting unassigned listings
You can easily identify underlying issues with unassigned listings by verifying if your brokerage's Agents accounts are set up properly.
- Select the Admin tab.
- Select the Manage Users tool.
- Search for the relevant Agent using the Search Users bar.
- If you are able to locate the Agent:
- Select them and verify their board and association is correct and verified. Their Member Number should align with the one on their MLS profile. If the information is incorrect, you will see a yellow warning label.

- If you are unable to locate the Agent:
- Return to the Manage Users page and select + Add User.
- Fill out their information, ensuring their board and Member Number are correct.
- Select Save.
Adding a Listing Agent to an unassigned listing
If the relevant listing Agent has their BrokerBay account set up, you can manually add them to any listing.
Through the Admin Queue
- Navigate to your Admin Queue.
- Select the Unassigned tab.
- Search for and assign the relevant Listing Agent to their listing.
Through the Listing settings
- Navigate to the listing.
- Select Edit Listing.
- Under Listing Agent, search for and select the relevant Listing Agent. Do not touch any other fields.
- Select Save.
